1188 McLendon was originally constructed as a United States Post Office in 1925 in the heart of Little Five Points. In the 1970’s, the structure became H&G Furniture Restoration and remained that way until the 2000’s. Pellerin under a joint venture with Clark Properties purchased the property in April 2016, renovated the structure to create two tenants spaces and has signed a Hair Salon which is now open and called Commoner Salon; and has signed Xhale City to open a Vape and Apparel Store slated to open in early 2017. The project retains the buildings historic characteristics while allowing for a fresh and relevant overall design. The building features sky lights, exposed roof rafters creating a cathedral aesthetic with sky lights and high ceilings. Exposed Brick, Sealed Concrete floors and a combination of wood and aluminum storefronts complete the design.
